There are a multitude of different reasons why people from other countries have come to live in Spain, but the one thing which they all have in common, is that their life here would be so much more satisfactory if they could speak Spanish. At ¡Espanglish! Academia de Idiomas we understand that any kind of study can be daunting and that some students may not have been in a classroom for many years.
We will do everything that we can to support you in your learning. As many of our students have knowledge of the English language, you may find it reassuring to know that our Spanish teachers can speak English and that our course books include English explanations. Always remember that you are learning Spanish for yourself and your own needs, at your own pace.
SPANISH MADE SIMPLE! - 12 week semi-intensive course for beginners
Do you need to acquire enough Spanish to meet your everyday needs? Do you want to build up a foundation in the language as quickly as possible? This course will teach you the rules of pronunciation, extend your vocabulary, introduce the use of everyday expressions and familiarise you with the most commonly used verbs. This course will be a closed class, whereby once the course has started no new students will be allowed to join. It is our experience that this system is less disruptive to the class and enhances the level of student confidence. Suitable for both complete beginners and false beginners, i.e. those who have some basic knowledge of the language.
HOURS: 5x2 hrs per wk Mon-Fri

CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH Everyday Spanish in a day-to-day context 12-week course
Do you already know some Spanish and can basically get by? Do you want to build up your vocabulary, improve your pronunciation and develop your fluency? This 12-week course will introduce you to a range of words and expressions which are commonly used by the Spanish in their everyday lives. Each lesson in this course will deal with a specific true-to-life topic and will follow a structure of dialogue; comprehension; key vocabulary; practice exercises, writing and conversation. Suitable for lower intermediate level students.
HOURS: 2x2 hrs per wk

GENERAL SPANISH Weekly course available from beginner to intermediate level
Do you prefer to take your time and learn Spanish at a more leisurely pace? Do you want time to practice and consolidate what you have learned? This long-term weekly course is available from beginner to intermediate level, enabling you to understand, speak, read and write the language with increasing confidence.
HOURS: 3 hrs per wk

CLUB AMIGOS Spanish culture and social activity group
Do you spend too much time speaking in your first language and not enough communicating in Spanish? Do you live here but never participate in the local customs? Club Amigos is a social group, which meets regularly to give you the opportunity to participate in the local Spanish community, and could include anything from an evening in a tapas bar to attending local fiestas; from visiting local places of interest to Sevillanas dance classes. The choice is yours!
English School for English Speaking Children
Have your children been mostly educated in Spanish schools? Do they speak English but don’t know how to read, write or spell? This course is aimed at the children of English speaking parents who want them to maintain and develop their English language competency. Under the guidance of a British qualified primary school teacher, we will teach English literacy skills including grammar, spelling, reading and writing. Ages 7- 9 yrs and 10 - 12 yrs.

Spanish Courses for Students from Abroad
The Andalusian town of Roquetas de Mar, located in the province of Almería, has lots to offer those in search of Spanish Culture. With the Plaza de Toros, the Auditorio Theatre, a variety of local fiestas, towers and castles, natural parks and the Alcazaba of Almeria, there is plenty to keep you occupied. There are also many sporting activities available, including water sports, golfing and horse riding. The area offers a very diversified landscape, combining high mountain ranges and beautiful, clean, safe, beaches. The sub-tropical climate means there are mild winters, blue skies and an average of 320 days sunshine a year, making this the ideal location to study at any time of year.
ADULTS ONLY! Residential courses for the over 25īs: General & General Plus
Designed for the adult learner with a high level of motivation, these courses offer students extensive teacher input and the opportunity to immerse themselves and practice what they have learned in the local community. Classes will focus on the four main areas of language acquisition - listening & understanding, speaking, reading and writing. The major emphasis will be on building up your confidence to actually use the Spanish you are learning. All residential courses will be closed programs, whereby once the course has started no new students will be allowed to join. It is our experience that this system is less disruptive to the class and enhances the level of student confidence. There will be a welcome drinks party and group visits to Roquetas de Mar Pueblo, the Urbanisation and Almeria city. An additional activity program will also be available.
ADULTS ONLY! GENERAL COURSE (20 group lessons per week)
Consisting of 4 hours of group classes, Monday to Friday, this course leaves plenty of time to enjoy Roquetas de Mar and the surrounding area. In addition to taught classes, you will be given homework assignments and study aids to help consolidate your learning. This course offers students the perfect combination of study and leisure.

ADULTS ONLY! GENERAL PLUS (20 group lessons per week plus 3 individual lessons)
General Plus combines group study, as outlined above, and individual tuition. In addition to 4 hours of group classes, Monday to Friday, this course also includes three 1:1 lessons per week. All students progress at their own pace and experience the learning process differently, therefore your three 1:1 lessons with a teacher will allow you to work on those areas, which are specific to you. This system of both group and individual tuition, offers you the maximum learning potential.
